Settled where Dammasch State Hospital was located.  Much of present-day Villebois is on the original Jaeger farm.  Gustav's farm had an unusual, round barn.  Was located approx. where the hospital admin. building stood.  Photos exist in the Wilsonville Historical Society.

Don't know for sure, but in looking at the dates, it's probable that Gustav was the son of the Jaegers who immigrated from Germany and was born on the farm in Oregon.

Obviously a very German family, given the inscriptions.  Also the fact that they did not Anglicize their name to "Yaeger," since "J" in German is pronounced as a "Y" sound.  There's more info. in the WHS about Gustav's beer-making expertise and hop growing, as well as barn dances, etc.
