Family Contributions: Served in the Army Air Force during WWII stationed at Amarillo, Texas until the war ended. He taught electrical systems on the B-24 bomber to pilots and navigators. He was a member of El Segundo Lodge 507 F&AM.
Charles Russell Johnson
Born in Cleveland, Ohio on August 31 1920, died on October 6, 1982. He graduated from Pine School in Colorado at the age of 15 and was employed on the 4L Ranch until 1941 when he entered the Aviation Institute of Denver, Colorado. He married wife, Ruth Efflandt Johnson on October 5, 1940 in Denver, Colorado. He served in the Army Air Force and was honorably discharged in December of 1945.
He was employed in the motion picture industry as a set erector and then continued doing special effects until his retirement. He then went to Norton AFB in San Bernardino, California, teaching airmen repair and maintenance of audio visual equipment. He died of Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. There were 3 children , 2 of whom survived him. Charles Michael died in 1980. Surviving children are Terry Lee Johnson of Lake Oswego and Cindy Lu Webb of Kooskia, Idaho. There are 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren living at this time. (2007)
