Obituary:              Hillsboro Independent, February 15, 1895
Miss Angie Vinson died at the home of her parents on Wild Horse Mts., Monday, the 4th, of typhoid fever and St. Vitus dance. For several weeks the dark shadow of death has hovered over this home, and at last has released the patient sufferer of all care and pain on earth, to join a throng of angels in heaven.
Miss Angie was the daughter of Mrs. John and Mary Vinson, and twelve years old. She leaves seven sisters, two brothers and her loving parents, besides hosts of old as well as young friends to mourn their loss.
The funeral took place at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery the 5th, conducted by Rev. Mr. and Mrs. Barber, of Hood View, and was largely attended. The funeral services will be preached the fourth Sabbath, at the Wild Horse school house. Friends of the family are invited to attend.
This is a great affliction to the family, and loving friends and neighbors joining in their sorrow with very deep sympathy. "The Lord will help in time of need" is a precious promise to the sorrowing.
