Family Contribution: John Edward Vinson was born 28 August
1839 in Madison, Indiana and died 7 Jan 1924 in Middleton,
Oregon. He and his wife, Martha Lewis Bristow Vinson brought their
family to Oregon in 1874. They were married in Carroll County,
Missouri on 8 June 1862 and were the parents of 12 children: Effie
Jane Vinson, Mary Alice Parrett, Rovella Ida Itress Vincent, Luther
Tecumpsea Vinson, Leota May Vincent, Cordelia B. Hackett, Lois Etta
Green Buchholz, Elizabeth M. (Mattie) Stiteler, S. Angaline
Vinson, Blanche Eunice Schwab, Daisy Fitzlaff and Leonard
Vinson. All but the first 4 were born in Oregon. Several of these
children are buried at Pleasant View Cemetery.
