Illinois, and living "at home" with her mother.

News (31 Aug 1939), Liona was named as "Mrs. Liona Marks"
and lived in Sherwood, Or.
Liona Brandt was born June 7,
1872 in Freeport, IL. The family moved to Oregon around 1877,
and the 1880 Oregon census lists "Liona L," 9, living "at home"
with her mother in Washington County, OR.
Liona married George Elsfelder
about 1895. The 1900 census lists her and her husband and young
son living in Portland, OR. In the 1910s they lived in Columbia
County, OR; by 1920 they had moved to Clark County, WA, where
they lived until George died in 1933.
Sometime between 1933 and 1939,
Liona married a man named Marks, and she lived in Sherwood, OR.
According to her Oregon death certificate, Liona Marks, a widow,
died 28 Apr 1946, at the Oregon State Hospital in Salem, Marion
County, OR, of "myocardial degeneration.” She had been
hospitalized for 1 yr, 8 months. The certificate notes that her
parents were Charles Brandt and Fredericka Weckert, both born in
Germany.
