Obituary: Newberg Graphic, February 24, 1910
Miss Amy Heater Deceased
A message received here Wednesday morning gave information of the death of Miss Amy Heater, which occurred at the Open Air Sanitarium located on the Willamette river above Portland, Tuesday. The funeral was announced to take place at Sherwood today, Thursday at 11 o'clock, burial to be made in the Pleasant View cemetery.
Although not unexpected, this information brings sorrow to many hearts in Newberg. The deceased was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Noah Heater and was twenty-four years of age. She was born on a farm near Springbook, but practically all her life was spent in Newberg where she was held in high esteem by young and old. She had always been the picture of health up to a few months ago, and when at that time it was announced that she was declining physically, it could scarcely be believed by friends.
The sorrowing family have the sympathy of a large circle of relatives and friends in this community in their bereavement.
