Flora Jane Dickerson, daughter of Samuel C. and Rhoda E. Dickerson,
was born February 1, 1852, in Knox county, Ohio. Died in San Jose,
California, May 1, 1928. Her father was born in the same
county in Ohio, and was a union soldier in the Civil War, a member
of the First Iowa Cavalry. He was killed in battle October 26, 1862.
Her mother was born in Knox county, Ohio. Died in Arizona in 1960.
Flora Dickerson and Isaac C. Clutter were married in 1878 in the
state of Missouri. Came to Oregon in 1880. To this union were born
two sons, Arnold D. and Herschel, both of whom survive her, both
living at Mulloy. A grandaughter, Margaret, daughter, Herschel
Clutter, live at Wilsonville. A sister, Mrs. Eva Alway, and niece,
Mrs. Beatrice Dean, live at Phoenix, Arizona.
Mrs. Clutter, with her family, had lived at Mulloy forty-four years.
Death came while she was on a vacation trip to California.
Funeral services were in Hood View church Monday, May 7, and
interment in Pleasant Hill cemetery. Services were conducted by Rev.
Wiley. |
